Curtains

Made to Measure Curtains in Kent and East Sussex

Curtains are first machined before being finished by hand so that stitching on the front can’t been seen. Depending on the type of fabric used, curtains can be made with or without interlining. For example, if you choose a silky fabric you may want to give the curtain some body by using interlining.

Curtains can be made with headings of your choice. Popular styles include pencil pleats, double pleats, triple pleats and goblet pleats. These pleats can be made at different sizes depending on your desired finish. A matching pelmet is a favourite pairing with customers who opt for the pencil pleat finish. For a more contemporary look, curtains can be made with eyelet headings. The eyelet comes in a range of different sizes and a choice of colours;  plain white, chrome or brass to match your décor.

I can walk you through all curtain design options and fabric details. I can advise on fabric quantities so as not to order too much or too little.  It’s worth noting that if  you choose a patterned fabric, and more than one width is required, more fabric will be allowed for pattern matching. Customers often have matching accessories made with any left over material.
